Access Announces End of Life for Microsoft 2008 SQL Server and Microsoft Server 2008 R2

Valued Access Customers, we wanted to let you know about the end of life timeline for Access’s support of Microsoft 2008 SQL Server and Microsoft Server 2008 R2. These will no longer be supported going forward. Microsoft themselves stopped mainstream support for the latter back in 2014.

From now on, you will need to update to SQL Server 2012 or later for new Access products or updates to your existing Access solutions. If you keep using the current version of your Access system, we will continue supporting Microsoft 2008 SQL Server and Microsoft Server 2008 R2 until July 2019 and 2020, respectively, which are the dates that Microsoft will terminate all support for these.

If you have any questions, please contact your Access account manager. Click here to email Kiffer Davis and here to email Clayton Homme.
